Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone Yellowstone Nat pk

They tout this as the crown jewel of Yellostone. It is a spectacle for sure. There is so much that is fantastic viewing at Yellowstone... this gets folded into all that is so pristene and beautiful.

The pix don't do justice. You can stand near the upper falls and the sound... the power of the river is beyond description. You feel the power of the river over the falls. A rainbow off of the mist is spectacular... only when the sun is at a certain angle in the day.

North rim of the canyon... South rim... both offer paralyzing views. Artist point.... i don't see how you could capture this in a painting. These pics don't begin to capture. The Yellowstone River cutting through this rock formation for a millenia.... making this canyon. This is a place you just have to see and behold. The canyon actually does look like Yellow stone. A powerful place. A good day!
